
Each year, New Brunswick Community College (NBCC) proudly honours outstanding graduates from across our six campuses with the distinction of Valedictorian—an inspiring group of students selected for their academic excellence, leadership, and commitment to their communities. Nominated by peers, faculty, staff, or even themselves, these individuals stood out for their strong communication skills, dedication to teamwork, and active involvement in campus and community life.
With a minimum GPA of 3.5 and all graduation requirements met, our 2025 Valedictorians are shining examples of what it means to lead with purpose and heart. Get to know the remarkable students representing NBCC this year!

Lillian Nash, a graduate of NBCC’s Wesley Armour School of Business Administrative Professional program at the Fredericton Campus, has been a powerful advocate for inclusion, representation, and cultural pride. Though her program was delivered off-site on Saint Mary’s First Nation, Lillian remained deeply engaged with the Fredericton campus community.
During her time at NBCC, Lillian served as Class Representative on the NBCC Fredericton Student Union. She was also a Nitap Mentor and founded Sacred Connections, a safe space for Indigenous 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals. Through her leadership and advocacy, Lillian fostered belonging and empowerment on campus and within her Indigenous community. Her time at NBCC has been marked by purpose, pride, and a commitment to inclusion for all.
Marley Burke, a graduate of NBCC’s Educational Support program at the Miramichi Campus, exemplifies dedication, resilience, and balance. A proud mother of four children ranging from toddlers to teens, Marley returned to school at 37 to pursue a career centred on service and connection.
At NBCC, Marley served as Class Representative on the NBCC Miramichi Student Union and brought energy and enthusiasm to her studies and community. She has recently started a new role as Recreation and Events Coordinator for the Municipality of Five Rivers, where she is already making a positive impact. Marley’s journey is a testament to perseverance, purpose, and the transformative power of education.


Aneri Patel, a graduate of NBCC’s Business Administration: Accouting program at the Moncton Campus, has earned a reputation as a dynamic leader and mentor. Originally from India, she moved to Moncton at 18 to pursue her education and quickly became involved in the NBCC community.
Aneri served as Vice-President of Communications on the NBCC Moncton Student Union, represented her classmates as Class Representative, tutored peers, and shared her NBCC experience with prospective international students as a Digital Ambassador. Aneri’s resilience, dedication, and collaborative spirit have left a lasting mark on her campus and across the college.
Kevin Kadogo, a graduate of NBCC’s Building Engineering Technology program at the Moncton Campus, transitioned from a successful career in Information Technology to pursue his passion for building engineering and community development. Originally from Kenya, Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Master of Science in Data Communication.
At NBCC, Kevin served as Class Representative on the NBCC Moncton Student Union and was known for his thoughtful leadership and dedication to learning. As a husband and father of four, his journey has been guided by faith, purpose, and a deep belief in new beginnings. Kevin moves forward ready to make a meaningful contribution to his field and community.


Travis Boyce, a graduate of NBCC’s Social Service Community Worker program at the Moncton Campus, has distinguished himself through authenticity, compassion, and a strong commitment to advocacy. Originally from Springhill, Nova Scotia, Travis came to NBCC after a career in the trades and a life-changing workplace injury that inspired him to pursue a new path rooted in service.
During his time at NBCC, Travis served as Class Representative on the NBCC Moncton Student Union, as well as Vice President of Advocacy and a provincial board member for the NBCC Student Union. He also mentored fellow students and contributed to campus and community advocacy initiatives. Travis leaves NBCC as a thoughtful leader with a deep belief that change begins with care—and that every story matters.
Samuel Adusei-Brobbey, a graduate of NBCC’s Justice Studies program at the Saint John Campus, is a passionate advocate for justice and equity. Originally from Ghana, he holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and is known for his empathy and drive to create meaningful change.
At NBCC, Samuel excelled academically and demonstrated strong leadership through volunteer work with Jack.org, Saint John City Council, PULSE Inc., and the North End Food Bank. His communications background helped him advocate effectively for equity and inclusion, inspiring his peers and leaving a lasting impact on campus and in the community.


Ashley Kinney, a graduate of NBCC’s Practical Nurse program at the Saint John Campus, has demonstrated unwavering dedication to care, compassion, and lifelong learning. After building a career in hospitality and aviation, Ashley made a courageous decision to pursue a new career in healthcare.
Inspired by her son and driven by a desire to make a difference, Ashley excelled academically at NBCC while preparing to serve others in a new and meaningful way. Her journey is a powerful example of how it’s never too late to follow your purpose and make a difference in the lives of others.
Clemente (Clem) Cruz Jr., a graduate of NBCC’s Culinary Arts Management program at the St. Andrews Campus, is a passionate and resilient leader who transformed personal loss into a journey of creativity and service. Originally from the Philippines, Clem spent over a decade as a software engineer before pursuing his long-held love for food and travel in Canada.
At NBCC, Clem embraced every opportunity to learn, lead, and give back. He represented NBCC and New Brunswick at the 2024 National Cooking Skills Competition in Quebec City, volunteered at community dinners, and mentored his fellow international students. Clem moves forward with a renewed sense of purpose and gratitude, ready to make a meaningful impact in the culinary world, guided by heart, service, and passion.


Joshua Dimayuga, a graduate of NBCC’s Wesley Armour School of Business, Business Administration: Management program at the Woodstock Campus, is a compassionate leader and community builder. Originally from the Philippines, Joshua arrived in Canada with a heart full of purpose and quickly became a powerful advocate for his peers and community.
At NBCC, Joshua channeled homesickness into hope, serving as Vice President of the NBCC Woodstock Student Union. He championed inclusive events, student wellness initiatives, and campus engagement. Beyond campus, he volunteered with the Multicultural Association of Carleton County and the Upper River Valley Hospital. Inspired by his brother’s battle with cancer, Joshua registered as a stem cell donor—an act that reflects his empathy, courage, and commitment to making a difference.
